START is an organization dedicated to providing verifiable, fact-based, information to residents and land owners about renewable energy alternatives.

START objectives and goals:

  • To provide a forum for member residents and land owners to discuss and seek current and verifiable information about renewable energy technologies.
  • To help assure communities have local laws that appropriately protect the town, residents, and land owners
  • To educate each other and the public on renewable energy technology and the effect of this technology on the community, environment, and local economy.

  • START is a membership organization.
  • START welcomes individuals seeking verifiable, balanced, information.
  • Non START members are permitted to attend a START meeting as a guest if sponsored by a START member who is also attending the meeting.
  • START acknowledges and supports individual’s right to have different opinions and welcomes mature and respectful debate.   START also believes people can debate and even disagree with each other without being rude and/or disrepectful to each other.
  • START strives to maintain a respectful and courteous environment in its meetings and events.  Meeting and/or event participants who demonstrate - or have demonstrated - to any START member, or to the organization, or to any of the attending public, hostility, lack of respect,  lack of consideration, lack of professionalism, and/or rudeness, or who threaten members and/or participants are not welcomed to attend or participate in START meetings and/or events.
  • START meetings and/or events specifically stating that they are open for public attendence do not require active START membership status to attend.
